A Franklin business owner accused of killing two of his own employees made his first appearance in court Tuesday.
Matthew Neumann, the owner of Spot Free Cleaning, is charged with first-degree reckless homicide and hiding a corpse. The charges stem from an arson investigation in early January that led investigators to a property leased by Neumann in Walworth County.
“Remains of two different bodies were discovered in the burn pit,” Franklin Police Chief Rick Oliva told TODAY’S TMJ4.
More charges could be filed when forensic evidence confirms the identities of the two victims, but police say they have an idea who the victims are.
