Former wide receiver Jordy Nelson, who spent 10 seasons playing in Green Bay, will officially retire as a member of the Green Bay Packers.
After indicating his desire to retire in Titletown in June, Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst made the announcement official on Sunday.
The Packers selected Nelson 36th overall out of Kansas State in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
He played in 136 regular season games in Green Bay, finishing third in franchise history in receptions (550) and second in team history with touchdown catches (69).
Nelson played his final season in 2018 with the Oakland Raiders.
He’ll be speaking to the media Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 9:30 a.m.
