Altered vacations. Re-scheduling planning with partner organizations. Massive logistical challenges for a part of a major event involving the protection of human life and property.
Amidst all those issues, the police chief of Milwaukee has expressed his support of the Democratic National Committee and local organizers to move the Democratic National Convention at Fiserv Forum to mid-August.
“I agree with that decision, especially with the restrictions we have with travel arrangement,” said Morales to John Mercure on Wisconsin’s Afternoon News Thursday.
“We have to move the restrictions in staffing to August when we’re going to see a big increase in time off,” said Morales.
“Now we have to tell (officers) to change vacations.”
They also have to tell other partner law enforcement organizations to change their own scheduling plans.
“I’m confident we can overcome these challenges.”
