The season was at stake on a cool Friday night at Miller Park as the Milwaukee Brewers needed a victory to stay alive in the National League Championship Series.
The urgency of the moment led to some clutch answers in the first inning.
With two runners on and two out, Jesus Aguilar turned a 1-0 Dodgers lead into a 2-1 Brewers lead with a double to right field off of Hyun-Jin Ryu.
Mike Moustakas followed up with his own double to right field, sending Aguilar home.
Immediately after that, Erik Kratz’s single scored Moustakas, and a clutch four-run rally doubled Los Angeles’ productivity for the entire night in a 7-2 win that saved the Brewers’ season for one more day.
