6,000 isn’t 81,000, but it’s better than nothing.
Packers fans will be strategically sprinkled through Lambeau Field for Saturday’s playoff game against the Rams.
Their presence could be the difference, according to voice of the Packers Wayne Larrivee.
“I know that football people are looking to it because they’ve needed people in that stadium,” Larrivee tells WTMJ. “They add some juice, and I anticipate they’ll add a lot of atomosphere to it.”
It’s now official. The Rams will start injured quarterback Jared Goff, who’s recovering from a surgically repaired broken thumb.
Wayne expects Los Angeles to be careful with its franchise QB.
“Despite the injury, [Goff] played fairly well in Seattle. They produced 30 points, 7 of which came from the defense. But, I think tomorrow, they’ll be pretty conservative with this game plan, I’d imagine, in working the running game and trying to exploit that, rather than putting the breadth of the responsibility on the shoulders of Jared Goff.”
Kickoff from Lambeau is set for 3:35.
The winner advances to take on the Saints or Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game.
