That scenario played out in 2013 for the Packers when Rodgers went down with a different collarbone injury. Seneca Wallace and Scott Tolzien failed to get the job done, so the Packers added former backup Matt Flynn to the roster. He kept Green Bay in the race until Rodgers returned to lead them to the playoffs.
