Bayfield Apple Festival, Bayfield – Oct. 4-6, 2019
- More than 50,000 people converge downtown to celebrate all things apple.
- The festival lets people experience apples in many different ways, from eating them raw to drinking them in cider, and peeling them during the apple peeling contest on Saturday.
- There are over 60 local vendors selling apple-themed treats.
- Apple Fest culminates on Sunday with the Grand Parade featuring area marching bands coming together to play a rendition of the On Wisconsin fight song.

Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest – Nekoosa
On October 5 and 6, growers from across the state weigh their giant pumpkins for international competition.
- The main event is the drop of a behemoth pumpkin from a 100-foot crane.
- You’ll also find all kinds of pumpkin-themed contests – from weigh-offs to bake-offs – a carnival, tasty food, farmers and flea markets, and antique tractor and car shows.
