Where to find Milwaukee’s big Brewers baseballs filled with playoff messages from fans

Where to find Milwaukee’s big Brewers baseballs filled with playoff messages from fans

Location 1 411 E WI Ave across from Pfister

MILWAUKEE — Four oversized baseballs covered in heartfelt and positive messages for the Milwaukee Brewers have been planted along Wisconsin Avenue for the exciting postseason run.

The nearly 42-inch painted baseballs made their debut during the Milwaukee Night Market, where hundreds of Brewers fans – including me – grabbed Sharpies and added messages of encouragement before the balls were installed in planters throughout downtown. The activity was one of the most joyful parts of the Night Market, with families, friends and even a pet chicken joining in to wish the Brew Crew good luck.

Two of the baseballs full of Brewers love will be within sight of the National League Championship Series opponents, the Los Angeles Dodgers team, who will be staying at the historic Pfister Hotel when they’re in Milwaukee.

Where to Find the Giant Brewers Baseballs

The baseballs are now displayed in these four locations, making them perfect photo stops for fans exploring downtown:

  • Northwest corner of Wisconsin Avenue & Jefferson Street (in front of The Pfister Hotel)
  • Southwest corner of Wisconsin Avenue & Jefferson Street (in front of 411 East Wisconsin Center)
  • 301 W. Wisconsin Avenue (outside Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 offices)
  • Northeast corner of Wisconsin Avenue & Vel R. Phillips Avenue (outside The Capital Grille)

Created by the Artist Behind Milwaukee’s Bob Uecker Mural

The big baseballs were transformed into works of art by Mauricio Ramirez, the Milwaukee muralist whose work has become a familiar part of the city’s landscape.

Earlier this summer, Ramirez completed the striking 10-story “Mr. Baseball” mural honoring legendary Brewers broadcaster Bob Uecker on the Wintrust Financial Center. For this project, he painted the stitching on each oversized baseball before fans filled them with messages of support. The Uecker mural is another must-see for Brewers fans and is located at Mason & Jackson, just one block northeast of The Pfister Hotel.

A Downtown Milwaukee Rally for the Brewers

The baseball installation is part of a larger effort by Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 to transform downtown into a sea of blue and gold during the postseason.

In addition to the giant baseballs:

  • Downtown landmarks have been illuminated in Brewers blue and yellow.
  • Brewers banners have been installed at City Hall, Milwaukee Public Market and other downtown locations.
  • Brewers flags are flying from downtown bridges and several public buildings.
  • Digital billboards throughout downtown are displaying messages of support for the team.
