Mark Simons, better known as “The Doorman,” is one of the most recognizable Milwaukee Brewers fans at American Family Field.
From his longtime seats near the visitors’ dugout, Mark has built friendships with players, exchanged good-natured banter with opponents, and become a familiar face on Brewers broadcasts. He explains how his lifelong love of baseball began at County Stadium and how he earned the nickname “The Doorman.” Mark also shares the story behind his viral Sal Bando Brewers shirt and his connection with Bando’s family.
As the Brewers make another playoff push, Mark talks about the team’s energy, the fans’ excitement, and why he believes this club has something special.
When recalling Sunday’s game, Simons described it this way: “It was really the worst game ever, until it became the best game ever.”
