Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is bringing his record on child poverty, economic development and public safety to Wisconsin as he campaigns alongside Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Crowley.
Moore is scheduled to join the Milwaukee County executive Friday for campaign stops in Racine, Kenosha, Beloit and Milwaukee as Wisconsin’s race for governor enters its final month.
Moore criticized current federal policies on inflation, tariffs and foreign affairs during the interview and argued that state leaders have an important role in responding to economic pressures facing families. Those comments represent Moore’s political assessment as he campaigns for Crowley.
His visit also comes one day after former President Barack Obama endorsed Crowley, adding another prominent Democratic voice to the campaign ahead of the Nov. 3 election.
