UPDATE 8:45 p.m. 2/11/24 – A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection to the case on Sunday, according to the South Milwaukee Police Department.
The victim, whose body was found in a garbage cart, has been identified as 55-year-old Alexander Stengel from Cudahy.
The investigation is ongoing and charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
SOUTH MILWAUKEE – Police in South Milwaukee are investigating reports of a body found in a barrel near Chicago and Carroll.
Our partners at TMJ4 News spoke with a nearby worker who saw the body; they say drops of blood were observed in the parking lot leading to the barrel from a local restaurant.
South Milwaukee Police said they expect to release a statement later this afternoon.
