UPDATE at 12:35 p.m on 8/9/2026: The Wisconsin State Fair has re-opened the entrance gates for admission after the Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for Milwaukee County were expired by the National Weather Service.

Fair officials posted this update on their website:

12:35pm โ€“ย It looks like it should be a beautiful afternoon! We are happy to extend todayโ€™s admission promotion to 6pm. Weโ€™ll continue to closely monitor the weather conditions as it relates to our dayโ€™s programming.

WEST ALLIS, Wis.— The Wisconsin State Fair has temporarily closed its entrances and gates as a Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area until noon Sunday.
