MILWAUKEE — Three teenagers have been taken into custody after a car theft and chase on Milwaukee’s south side.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office arrested the 12-year-old boy, 13-year-old girl, and 14-year-old boy after they received a stolen vehicle alert in Kosciuszko Park around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Two people were observed in the front seat wearing dark ski masks.
Deputies chased the car briefly before it turned down a wrong way street near S. 11th St and W Arthur Ave., and then crashed into a fence.
Other deputies initially located the car unoccupied, but caught the three children shortly after, two arrested near the scene and one found in a home several blocks away.
All three juveniles were interviewed and booked into custody.
Charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
