MILWAUKEE — A Wisconsin woman is filing a civil lawsuit against the Milwaukee archdiocese after she survived sexual abuse from her fourth grade teacher in 2013.
52-year-old Kevin Buelow is currently serving a 26-year-prison sentence for sexually assaulting multiple young girls at St. Matthias Parish School in Milwaukee, then at Holy Apostles Catholic School in New Berlin.
The lawsuit claims leaders were warned about the sexual abuse but did not do anything.
The Milwaukee Archdiocese has said they are not able to comment on the pending litigation.
WTMJ has reached out for comment from St. Matthias, but has not heard back.
