UPDATE at 2:10 p.m. on 7/10/2026: The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner identifies the man who died in a drive-by double shooting as 27-year-old Khamaren M. Adell of Milwaukee.
His death preliminarily is ruled a homicide.
MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Police are investigating a double shooting that leaves one person dead and another injured on Milwaukee’s north side.
Police responded around 2:02 p.m. on July 9 near N. 27th Street and W. Atkinson Avenue.
Investigators say the suspects approached in a car and fired several shots into another car, hitting two people before fleeing the scene.
A 27 year old died from their injuries, while a 22 year old was taken to the hospital for treatment.
