Activist and actress Alexandra Paul (Baywatch) was among those arrested after cutting through a chainlink fence in an effort to rescue dogs at Ridglan Farms on March 15. Paul joined Wisconsin’s Midday News to discuss her involvement and what’s next for the group of activists.
After the rescue on Sunday, “Over 30,000 people went and signed up and said they wanted to go back. And so we haven’t actually had to recruit people.. we’re excited to go back and finish the job so that these dogs that are held at Ridgland Farms are no longer held there.”
“I’m okay with being arrested. In fact, I wanted to be arrested because I want to go to trial and shed light on what’s going on at Ridgland Farms and other breeding facilities like this. There are 20,000 dogs on the east coast at a larger facility that are also being bred for testing. And this is not an isolated situation. We are hoping to go to trial, and I welcome the discussion that we will have at trial and the discovery we will be able to share with the world.” – Alexandra Paul
