MILWAUKEE— The FBI and Milwaukee Police are renewing attention to an unsolved shooting that took the life of 12-year-old Marvayah Darby, and are now offering up to $10,000 for information that can identify who pulled the trigger.
The shooting happened in the early morning of June 13, 2025, at a home near 73rd Street and Fairmount Avenue. Investigators say someone fired multiple rounds into the house while Marvayah was asleep. One of those bullets struck her in the head, killing her inside her bedroom.
Months have passed with no arrests, and detectives say leads have slowed, prompting federal and local authorities to issue a reward in hopes that new information will surface.
Officials say they are particularly interested in tips involving a silver or gray SUV, which may have been connected to the shooting. They believe someone in the community may have seen or heard something that could move the case forward. Even if the details seem small or uncertain.
