DOVER, Wis.— A driver was taken to the hospital Saturday morning after a single- vehicle crash in the Town of Dover.
Kansasville Fire & Rescue and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office were called just before 11:30 a.m. to Washington Avenue and the 21400 block of STH 20. Dispatchers reported that an SUV had left the roadway and hit a tree.
Crews arrived to find a red Chevrolet SUV with heavy damage about 40 feet off the road, positioned between two trees. The driver, who was the only person in the SUV, was trapped and required extrication.
Firefighters quickly freed the driver and secured the vehicle. Paramedics provided treatment on scene before taking the driver to a nearby hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Deputies handled traffic control while the scene was cleared. The Racine County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating what caused the crash.
