UPDATE 10/21/25 8:15 a.m. — The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 16-year-old Marquis Champion.
Milwaukee police say the shooting is still under investigation.
MILWAUKEE – A teenager is dead after a shooting Monday night on the city’s northwest side, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
Police say three people were shot around 10 p.m. near 79th and Hampton.
A 16-year-old died at the scene.
A 17-year-old and 18-year-old were also shot. Both were taken to the hospital, but are expected to survive.
A recent string of gun violence across Milwaukee as six people have been killed in shootings over the last three days.
Officers say the Monday night shooting is still under investigation.
