UPDATE 10/20/25 11:40 a.m. — A deadly weekend across Milwaukee as five people died in multiple shootings.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner says 50-year-old Sandra Lee and 64-year-old Marcus Smith were shot and killed Sunday night near 27th and Atkinson. Police say a 26-year-old suspect was arrested.
Also Sunday night, 44-year-old Lakendrick Roby died after being shot in his car near 31st and Glendale. Police are still searching for a suspect.
On Saturday morning, 33-year-old Shaquille Madison and 43-year-old Dwayne Carter were shot during an attempted robbery and both died, according to the medical examiner.
A 35-year-old suspect was taken into custody for that shooting.
MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shootings Sunday night that left three people dead.
The first happened around 9:20 p.m. near N 27th Street and Roosevelt Drive. A 64-year-old and 50-year-old died at the scene from gunshot wounds. Police say a 26-year-old suspect was found nearby and taken into custody. Charges will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
About an hour later, around 10:25 p.m., officers responded to another fatal shooting near W Glendale Ave and 31st Street. A 44-year-old man died at the scene. Police say they’re still searching for the person or people involved.
