SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Two varieties of Tru Fru Freeze Dried Strawberries are being recalled because they might contain sharp metal pieces.
Georgia Nut Company issued the voluntary recall after a consumer reported finding metal in the product.
The recall affects 13 oz, 3.4 oz and 1.7 oz packages of Tru Fru’s Freeze Dried Strawberries in Dark & White Chocolate, and 3.4 oz packages of Freeze Dried Strawberries & Crème.
The first four digits and/or letters in the 10-digit manufacturing code on the back of each package indicates which lots are affected. The U.S. FDA has a list of all the affected codes here.

The products were sold in Albertson’s, CVS, Food Lion, H-E-B, Hungryroot, Ingles Markets, Kroger, Stew Leonard’s and Target stores/online retail across the United States.
No injuries have been reported.
Anyone who purchased the affected products should dispose of them. Customers seeking reimbursement can visit https://www.rqa-inc.com/client/trufru/index.html.
