Prairie Farms has issued a voluntary recall for select chocolate milk items.
The company has found 1,152 of their gallons of Premium Flavored and 1% Lowfat chocolate milk gallons may have been cross-contaminated with egg nog at their Rockford, Illinois plant. This has led to the items not labeling a possible egg allergen. People with this allergy or a severe sensitivity to eggs may get an allergic reaction if they consume these products.
These mislabeled gallons of milk were shipped to retailers in southeast Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and the Chicago and Rockford areas.
