One of the world’s largest companies is planning on adding 100,000 workers across its operations in the wake of coronavirus.
Amazon posted a hiring notice that it will be adding those workers in its U.S. locations. Some will be full-time, others part-time.
The company also says it is reaching out to workers in industries such as restaurants and other hospitality areas where they are unable to find hours due to government-mandated shutdowns.
“We want those people to know we welcome them on our teams until things return to normal and their past employer is able to bring them back,” the company said.
Amazon said it will be offering $2 more per hour through April, depending on the region.
The company currently has two locations in Kenosha, and is setting up locations in Oak Creek and Beloit.
