MILWAUKEE- An amended criminal complaint filed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office against Arzel Ivery now charged him with the deaths of Amarah Banks, her daughters Zaniya and Camaria.
Banks and the two young girls were the subject of a missing persons report on February 8th before police found all three dead inside of a car on February 15th.
The criminal complaint against Ivery states that he and Banks got into an argument following the funeral service for their son, who had died from Bronchitis last month. Ivery allegedly slammed Banks’ head into a wall several times before strangling her to death. The complaint says he then strangled both children. Ivery then put all three bodies in his vehicle and drove them to a garage where he then tried to burn the evidence.
Ivery was found, and arrested, in Memphis, Tennessee on Sunday. Ivery was found at his father’s house. His father told police his son had confessed to all three killings.
All three charges of first degree intentional homicide carry a life sentence.
