MILWAUKEE– Milwaukee Police are investigating the shooting death of a five-year-old boy early Saturday morning.
Officers were called to the Mayfair Apartments on the 5300 block of North Lover’s Lane Road around 1:17 a.m. Saturday.
Members of the Milwaukee Police Department and Wauwatosa Fire Department attempted CPR but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
Milwaukee police say the investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Nobody has been arrested.

It was just one of three shooting incidents in Milwaukee overnight that left a total of two people dead and two others injured.
A 48-year-old man walked into the lobby of District 2 headquarters around 9:30 p.m. suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Police also responded to the scene of a double shooting near 21st Street and Meinecke Avenue around 3:49 a.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, officers found two women suffering from gunshot wounds. A 25-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 36-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
