A Milwaukee Police Officer is in stable condition after being shot near 27th and Teutonia.
Captain David Salazar with the Criminal Investigation Bureau says around 1:00 Tuesday morning, police spotted a vehicle driving recklessly near N Teutonia and W Roosevelt Drive and attempted a traffic stop.
The vehicle fled northbound and crashed near 27th and Teutonia.
Three suspects then fled on foot.
While in pursuit, one suspect fired at the officers, striking one.
The 33-year-old male officer, with a year and a half of service, is in stable condition.
Two suspects were taken into custody.
Shortly after, the suspect who fired at officers was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The suspect died at the scene.
Both officers involved in this incident are on administrative duty.
An investigation into the incident continues.
