The man accused of killing Milwaukee Police Officer Matthew Rittner will take the stand in his own defense on Friday.
Jordan Fricke’s lawyers say it was self-defense when he opened fire on police officers breaking down his door while serving a search warrant on February 6, 2019.
Officer Rittner was shot and killed during the exchange.
The prosecution rested its case on Thursday, with the defense saying that Fricke will testify on Friday.
He’s expected to be the only witness called by the defense.
Fricke is facing the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison is convicted.
