Dariaz Higgins, the man charged with the death of Sierra Robinson and injuring another woman, was back in court April 4, 2019.
Higgins waived his right to a preliminary hearing, allowing the judge to rule that the case will proceed to trial. Higgins’ attorney did file a request for a new judge for the case, which was granted. A scheduling conference is set for April 18.
There was an amended criminal complaint filed against him, which adds a charge of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
It states Milwaukee Police interviewed a man who was inside his home near where the shooting has occurred on Milwaukee’s northwest side. The man says he was sitting on his couch in the living room and observed the shooting taking place. He then heard one of the bullets fired break a window near him, and glass fragments struck his neck and face.
As for Higgins daughter Noelani, who was found dead along a Minnesota highway last month, no charges have been filed for her death as an investigation continues.
