MILWAUKEE– Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley is expected to resume his campaign for Wisconsin governor, according to sources.
According to a post on X, Crowley will make a major announcement during a rally at the 3rd Street Market Hall at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 18.
Sources close to Crowley said he considered reentering the race after Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez dropped out Friday morning. Crowley ended his Democratic gubernatorial campaign on July 8 and days later endorsed former candidate Rodriguez.
Rodriguez dropped out from the race due to a campaign finance scandal that lead to her firing her campaign manager.
Wisconsin’s Democratic gubernatorial primary is coming up on Aug. 11.
