One-third of the way through the baseball season, attendance at Miller Park for Milwaukee Brewers games is slightly down, but the Brewers remain one of the best home draws in Major League Baseball.
The defending NL Central Division champs aren’t immune to baseball’s decline in attendance.
Through 29 home games this year, an average of 34,240 fans are taking in a game at Miller Park, down slightly from last year’s number of about 35,195.
That’s good enough for 8th in all of MLB. If it stays that way, the Brewers will finish 2019 with a higher rank than the 2018 season.
Overall baseball is reporting an average attendance drop of nearly 1.5 percent league wide with 19 teams reporting a drop in attendance compared to last season.
Attendance at baseball games is at its lowest point since 2003.
The Dodgers, Cardinals and Yankees are the only 3 teams in the league to average more than 40,000 fans per game.
