The Green Bay Packers have announced that they are going to get an additional draft selection in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The team says it will get a 5th round pick in addition to their normal selections after losing cornerback Casey Hayward as a free agent last season.
The NFL chooses a formula to give teams additional picks if they lose free agents and don’t sign ones of equal value.
The Packers also say that the league will let teams trade compensatory picks – a change from the past.
