WTMJ’s Wis. Morning News defines an EVERYDAY HERO as “an average Jon/Jane Doe who, when they woke up one morning, had no idea they’d be saving a life.”

In Detroit, Michigan: A 16-year-old girl is safe after she was abducted at gunpoint, thanks to the actions of a Detroit gas station clerk.
When the suspect brough the girl into the gas station, the clerk immediately knew something wasn’t right.
“When he ask her to pay for the cigarettes, I stop and go there’s something wrong. And she mouthed talked to me, like with no sound, ‘help,'” Abdulrahman Abohatem told ABC7 WXYZ.
Abohatem kicked the man out of the store and immediately called police. Officers, who had been searching for the missing teen, took the man into custody.
The suspect could’ve done serious harm, law enforcement said.
“It’s a criminal who had a history of rape charges, and we will make sure he gets what he deserves.”
Thank you Abdulrahman for being an EVERYDAY HERO!
