MILWAUKEE, Wis. – A police chase leads to a pedestrian’s death on Milwaukee’s north side.
Milwaukee Police had attempted to pull over a reckless driver Monday evening near 37th and Fond du Lac when the driver sped off.
The chase ended about six blocks away near Fond du Lac and Sherman, but not before the driver lost control and struck a bus shelter, two parked cars and a 55-year-old who died at the scene.
The driver, a 35-year-old man, is now in custody.
The death marks the second pedestrian fatality in less than a week in Milwaukee, after a 62-year-old was struck and killed while crossing the street near Astor and Ogden on the Lower East Side July 9th.
