WTMJ’s Jeff Sherman spoke with several Summerfest vendors to talk about running their businesses on and off the grounds, learning from their customers and their fellow vendors.
Sheena, owner of Mae’Rose Naturally Rooted which specializes in hair & skin care which she said stemmed from some of her personal struggle with skin conditions.
Luca Coviello, who owns Howdy Hat Bar with her wife Grace which offers a unique, personalized hat experience. When asked about tariffs, Luca said they had been partnering more with American-based suppliers and trying to stay as local as possible.
Michelle Eigenberger and Elizabeth Kiesling are co-owners of Bandit MKE which is a vintage clothing store with a permanent location on Milwaukee’s Brady Street. They allow customers to try on and make it a safe space to try on things they had never tried on before. Clothes sold by Bandit MKE have been worn by some of Summerfest’s performers like Artemas.
Jene Tate is the operations manager at Unfinished Legacy in Milwaukee’s Third Ward. it is own and founded by Sudanese immigrant Brema Brema. Unfinished Legacy has worked with many high profile athletic icons like the Milwaukee Bucks and the Mohamed Ali estate and is offering special Summerfest t-shirt.
