GLENDALE, Wis. – A suspect faces charges across multiple counties after a shooting in Sheboygan Falls leads to a chase on I-43.
The 24-year-old man from Milwaukee fled the scene of the shooting after Sheboygan Falls Police say he shot two people in a home near First Reformed Church and Blessed Trinity Parish Wednesday. The two shooting victims are expected to survive, and police say they and the suspect knew each other.
Around 4:49pm, the suspect was spotted on I-43 near Highway 33 in Saukville. He then attempted to evade police, leading to the pursuit. After tire deflation devices near Good Hope Road were deployed, the suspect crashed their car into a truck just south of Silver Spring Drive.
After the crash, the suspect jumped out of their car while it was still moving and attempted to flee officers on foot along the freeway. He was eventually arrested after a brief footchase.
The man is now in the Sheboygan County Detention Center awaiting charges in both Ozaukee and Sheboygan Counties.
