The City of Waukesha has made numerous decisions to help mitigate the risk of contracting Coronavirus during the current pandemic.
The city says that it is closing the Waukesha Public Library and extending due dates until May 1, but keeping city businesses operational otherwise.
The city is cancelling:
– All court appearances through April 8
– All non-essential public meetings through April 3
– Parks and recreation programming and parks reservation/rentals through April 4
– In-person tax payments – people can pay taxes online
Waukesha also said it will not schedule appointments for building and fire inspections, water utilities and assessments if any illnesses or signs of illness are occurring.
The city asks that people should only call 911 if there is a life-threatening emergency, and let dispatchers know if they have either been diagnosed or have reason to believe there has been exposure to coronavirus.
