All lanes of I-94 eastbound heading into downtown Milwaukee were blocked off this evening due to a demonstration.
The closure took place around 25th Street starting around 7:45 p.m., with backups extending west towards the Miller Park Interchange. It lasted around 35 minutes.
Before turning off DOT cameras in the area, they showed several vehicles parked on the interstate with a crowd of people standing outside them.
TMJ4’s Ben Jordon reports law enforcement tried to clear the area. It is believed to be people demonstrating the decision made by prosecutors in Kentucky regarding the fatal shooting of Breanna Taylor.
