Another road trip for the Green and Gold this weekend as they head to New Orleans to take on the 1-1 Saints.
The two have the primetime slot Sunday night.
“It does have a different feel this year without having the energy of the fans in the stands,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur says. “That usually adds a different dynamic to the whole experience. Our guys are going to have to do a great job of staying locked in, staying focused, and bringing our own juice to the game.”
Aaron Rodgers will face-off against Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
Much has been made about Brees’ age lately (41 years old), but LaFleur doesn’t agree with that talking point.
“I see a guy that is fully capable of doing what he’s done his whole career. He can light up a defense.”
After two weeks of play, the NFL has fined several coaches for not wearing masks on the sidelines. The fines totaling more than a million dollars throughout the league.
“It’s not necessarily hard to keep it on. It’s just that when you do take it off subconsciously, it’s hard to remember to put it back on,” says LaFleur. “Typically, you’re getting a quick drink of water or whatever it might be, you want to put it back on. But sometimes you’re so wrapped up in what you’re doing, in the heat of the game, you just quite frankly forget. But that’s never an excuse. I know we need to do better. And thankfully I’ve got a lot of good people around me to remind me to keep my mask on.”
