WALWORTH, Wis.– Walworth County Sheriff’s Office confirms a full lane closure at Highway 50 on northbound I-43 in Walworth County.
Deputies responded to a crash around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12.
According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, all northbound lanes from Exit 21 to 25 on I-43 north are shut down between Delavan and Elkhorn.
The public is asked to stay away from the area.
Preliminary information indicates a semi-truck hauling 78,000 gallons of liquid nitrogen rolled over into a ditch near I-43 north. Additionally, it was indicated that the hazmat team was dispatched to the crash to check for tank leakage.
