After indicating in January that 2020 might be his final season, veteran Ryan Braun now says there is a greater chance he will consider returning to the Milwaukee Brewers for a 15th season.
Braun told MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy that the coronavirus-shortened 2020 season, his 14th with the Brewers, is playing a role in his thinking for 2021.
More Braun: “I would say based on where I’m at now, there is a higher likelihood that I would be interested in playing another year now than I thought there would be three or four months ago.”

Braun has played with Milwaukee since 2007. He is the only player ever to participate in three postseasons with the Brewers.
And while injuries have played a part in his performance decline from an MVP season in 2011, Braun raised his overall game in 2019. He improved his OPS (.849), batting average (.285), home runs (22) and RBI (75) and played a major role in the Brewers’ near-record win performance in September and their second straight playoff berth.
