The Milwaukee Brewers have named their starter for Opening Day in two weeks at Miller Park.
Jhoulys Chacin will take the mound for Milwaukee when they host the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, March 28 for the home opener. (WTMJ coverage will start at 5 a.m. that day.)
Chacin finished 15-8 – the best winning percentage in his 10-year career for a season with more than four decisions – with a 3.50 ERA for the 2018 season.
He also started incredibly fast for Milwaukee that year. After a loss to St. Louis on April 6, Chacin's next six decisions were wins, and he did not suffer a loss until June 18.
