It’s a radio call that will go down in Brewers history, and it may have included an homage a popular movie character played by Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker.
“The Brewers win the Pennant! Oh my god the Brewers win the Pennant!” play-by-play man Jeff Levering announced as left fielder Jackson Chourio hauled in the the third out of the NLCS Gm 4 in Los Angeles.
“The World Series will go through Wisconsin!”
Levering’s call was immediately posted on social media for all Brewers fans to enjoy.

Levering’s call prompted many fans to question whether he was honoring his former partner: the late great Bob Uecker. In the film, Major League, Uecker’s Harry Doyle yells “Oh my god the Indians win!” as the fictional Cleveland team beats the Yankees.
Was it done intentionally?
“I didn’t think about, to be honest,” Levering told WTMJ’s Wis. Morning News on Friday. “It was more how I felt (in the moment). Major League is one of my favorite movies and it just worked (out).”
After he went to the commercial break, Levering looked at Josh and Lane asked: ‘I did say Brewers (and not Indians), right?'”
It’s been two seasons since Uecker passed away. The weight of the moment is not lost on Levering, he said.
“I understand the weight that is on my voice and on my words. I certainly don’t take that lightly. I know everybody wants to hear Bob and wishes he was here. He’s with us. He’s got a front row seat to this whole thing.”
