Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s holiday tour returns to Milwaukee on December 26 for two shows at Fiserv Forum. Guitarist and music director Al Pitrelli joined Wisconsin’s Midday News ahead of the group’s return to Milwaukee and it’s 30th anniversary tour.
Pitrelli said Trans-Siberian Orchestra has become a holiday tradition for folks, “like when [he] was a kid, it was Charlie Brown’s Christmas… This has become that for so many families.” Fans attending this year’s concert can expect the same “story, the poetry, the singers, the characters, the songs.” But this year, they’re going to “kick the tires on a lot of our catalog that maybe we haven’t played in 20 years.”
“Musically, it will be very different, yet familiar,” Pitrelli said. “Our crew has been working on this probably since the second week of January to give the audience a visual representation that they’ve never seen before.”
