A delegation from Papua New Guinea visited Wisconsin with a goal of learning more about American government, meeting local communities and building relationships that could stretch far beyond politics.
On the latest episode of Scaffidiology, Steve Scaffidi sat down with Hon. James Donald, a member of Papua New Guinea’s National Parliament, and Werner Cohil, Executive Director for the Parliamentary Committee Secretariat, who works with parliamentary committees.
The conversation covered government, access to basic services, political parties, social media, culture and what the visitors have noticed during their time in Wisconsin.
The delegation said it hopes the trip can lead to stronger connections between communities in Wisconsin and Papua New Guinea in the future.
