With Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley dropping out of the Democratic primary race for Wisconsin Governor and endorsing Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, Steve Scaffidi, Kristin Brey, Republican strategist Bill McCoshen, and UpNorthNews founding editor Pat Kreitlow break down the current state of the race. They examine the seemingly growing effort by establishment Democrats to consolidate behind Rodriguez to blunt the momentum of more progressive candidates like Francesca Hong and Mandela Barnes. Despite this, they all agree that Hong has continued to resonate with a segment of Democratic voters, and speculate which candidate might be the next to suspend their campaign.
Looking at Rodriguez’s path to victory, Bill and Pat discuss what her campaign needs to say to win over Hong supporters. Steve and Kristin believe that even with mail-in voting underway, it may be too early to vote.
