Independence Day Pops Concerts – Janesville and BeloitÂ
The Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra will present a traditional Pops concerts to honor our servicemen and women. Enjoy classics like the Armed Forces Salute, The Stars and Stripes Forever and 1812 Overture.Â
– Free family-friendly concerts and food vendors on site.Â
The concerts will take place on at Janesville’s Courthouse Park on July 3 at 6:30pm and at Beloit’s Riverside Park on July 4th at 7:30 pm
Fourth of July Celebration on Madeline Island
The entire Madeline Island community celebrates Independence Day with a famous parade that goes through the island town of La Point.Â
– The parade has been called one of the top 10 small town Fourth of July celebrations in the country. Â
– It includes a mix of classic patriotic and quirky floats, and everyone in attendance is encouraged to join in the parade.Â
After the parade, enjoy a day of music on the village green in front of the Madeline Island Museum. The day ends with fireworks over the waters of Lake Superior.Â
Red Cliff Traditional Pow Wow, Red CliffÂ
Wisconsin is home to 11 Native American tribes, the most Native American tribes east of the Mississippi.
– The Annual Red Cliff Traditional Pow Wow is held July 6-8 at the Red Cliff Pow Wow Grounds just north of Bayfield overlooking Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands.Â
 – This is the 40th anniversary of the event.Â
– Visitors can experience traditional Native American dancers, singers and drummers in their colorful regalia, and shop from local artists and vendors.Â
EAA Air Venture is the largest aviation event in the world and was named the No. 1 Airshow in a United State by voters in a USA Today 10Best poll. This year’s event takes place July 23-29 with daily air shows, workshops and seminars and industry vendors.Â
– More than 500,000 people from 70 countries converge on the city to celebrate aviation and watch thrilling shows in the sky.Â
– The city’s regional airport welcomes more than 10,000 planes for what is known as the world’s largest fly-in.Â
This year, EAA AirVenture is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the British Royal Air Force and the 70th anniversary of the US Air Force Reserve. There will also be activities commemorating the centennial of the final year of World War I.
