MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Election Commission says voting is moving along smoothly on Election Day, despite a handful of issues reported at polling locations Tuesday morning.
During an update at Milwaukee’s Central Count facility, Election Commission Executive Director Paulina Gutiérrez said all reported issues had been resolved as of the late-morning briefing.
One issue involved a voting machine malfunction at Saveland Park Pavilion, where approximately 100 ballots were temporarily secured until the machine was repaired. Gutiérrez confirmed all affected ballots have since been tabulated.
Election workers also discovered a clerical error involving some absentee ballots at Central Count that were missing voter numbers. Gutiérrez said the ballots were legitimate and were processed after officials reviewed the issue.
Another election operations update is scheduled for approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Gutiérrez will also provide an update at Central Count after polls close at 8 p.m.
