MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis.– Menomonee Falls Police Department arrested a man accused of firing shots at a car and home during an alleged road rage incident.
Police arrested 25-year-old Samuel Kendall from Menomonee Falls on Friday, July 17.
Kendall is charged with the following:
- Two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering the safety while using a dangerous weapon
- Two counts of second-degree recklessly endangering the safety while using a dangerous weapon
- One count of possession of improvised explosives
- Two counts of criminal damage to property while using a dangerous weapon
According to the Menomonee Falls Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting and crash near Maple and Christman in the Village of Menomonee Falls at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 12.
Investigators discovered that before the shooting, there was a road rage-related confrontation between the suspect and the victim near County Line and Bancroft.
Both cars were traveling southbound on Maple after the confrontation. Police say the suspect allegedly drove in front of the victim and started shooting at the victim’s car as it followed behind.
The victim’s car was shot, and the driver was injured by gunfire debris. The victim was taken to the hospital for a serious, non-life-threatening eye injury.
A nearby house was also struck by gunfire.
Kendall is being held on a $250,000 bond at the Waukesha County Jail.
