The coronavirus pandemic is leading to a major federal tax payment change.
The Treasury Department announced that the normal federal income tax collection day has been moved back to July 15.
“All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties,” said Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
When it comes to the state of Wisconsin’s income tax day (also April 15), a spokesperson for the state’s Department of Revenue tells WTMJ they were looking into the matter.
