WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis.— A loaded concrete truck rolled over Tuesday morning while turning at the intersection of Highway 164 and County Highway E, narrowly missing an oncoming car, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the crash at about 7:21 a.m. Tuesday, October 13. The Wisconsin State Patrol, Slinger Fire Department and Lifestar Rescue also responded.
Investigators say the Schmitz Concrete truck was traveling south on Highway 164 and turning west onto County Highway E when it took the turn too fast and rolled into the eastbound lane.
The truck narrowly missed an eastbound car. That driver was not injured, though the vehicle sustained minor damage from debris. The concrete truck driver also suffered minor injuries, according to authorities.
County Highway E at Highway 164 remained closed in both directions during cleanup. The Washington County Highway hop assisted with debris removal, and officials expects the road to reopen before noon.
